You are always wondering what everyone will think about what you have written. Even when you believe it’s great, you’re just never quite certain that others will share your view. On Orcas Island, we stumbled upon a beautiful little fishing village where Captain Dave and the Lieber Schwan came to rest. Here I am, sort of in the middle, with my husband Bob on the left, youngest son Todd on the right & his new wife Alyssa on the far left. Captain Dave told us the difference between a fairy tale and a Sailor’s Yarn. The fairy tale begins with, “Once upon a time…” and the Sailor’s Yarn begins with, “This is no B.S…”
Well, this is no B.S…Lieber Haven is a quaint little cove that should not be missed. Everywhere you turn, you see objects of marine art and the sunrise rivals any I’ve ever seen. Thanks, Captain Dave!
Mt. Constitution was the definite “high point” of our trip to Orcas Island! We could see all the way to Canada!
